What does the DOCX to PNG converter do?

It converts a DOCX file into PNG format. DOCX is Office Open XML, the format Word has produced by default since 2007 and an ISO standard since 2008.
Will my PNG have a transparent background?

DOCX files have no alpha channel, so the result will have a solid background. To get transparency in PNG, use the Remove Background tool on the PNG output.
Is the DOCX to PNG conversion reversible?

You can convert the PNG back to DOCX on this site. If either format involved is lossy, the round-trip is not bit-perfect even though it is visually or audibly close.
What output quality should I expect from DOCX to PNG?

Default settings target broadcast / web quality — visually identical to the source for most viewers. For archival use, pick the highest quality option in the converter settings.
Will the PNG open directly in a browser?

Yes, and the DOCX would not have. Browsers ship a decoder for PNG and none for DOCX, so a DOCX link forces a download while a PNG renders inline. That is usually the deciding factor when the file is going onto a web page rather than into an application. PNG is the right choice for screenshots, logos, line art and anything with hard edges or transparency — no ringing, no colour banding.
Does the PNG output support transparency?

The format does, but the source has no alpha to give it — video frames and rendered pages are fully opaque by nature, so every pixel arrives solid. The alpha channel is still useful afterwards: it means you can cut a subject out of the PNG later without changing format again.
Can I convert only part of the DOCX instead of all of it?

No. There is no page setting for DOCX files, so every page is rendered as its own PNG and you keep the ones you need. If you only want the first page, convert the DOCX to PDF and then use the PDF to PNG converter, whose Pages menu offers First page only.
Do I get one image per page?

Yes. Each page renders as its own PNG file, numbered in page order, so a one-page document gives a single PNG and a longer one gives one image per page.
Is there a file-size limit when converting DOCX to PNG?

Free conversions have a size limit per file, set by the type of file, and the page tells you when a file is over it. A paid plan removes that limit, so much larger files can be converted.
Can I batch-convert several DOCX files to PNG at once?

What happens to my DOCX files after the conversion?
