You can convert the PNG back to WEBM on this site. If either format involved is lossy, the round-trip is not bit-perfect even though it is visually or audibly close.
Does the PNG output support transparency?

The format does, but the source has no alpha to give it — video frames and rendered pages are fully opaque by nature, so every pixel arrives solid. The alpha channel is still useful afterwards: it means you can cut a subject out of the PNG later without changing format again. PNG is the right choice for screenshots, logos, line art and anything with hard edges or transparency — no ringing, no colour banding.
Is there a file-size limit when converting WEBM to PNG?
