What does the TIFF to JPEG converter do?

What happens to transparency when converting TIFF to JPEG?

JPEG does not support transparency. Transparent regions in the TIFF will be flattened against a solid background — white by default. If you need to keep transparency, convert to PNG, WebP, or TIFF instead.
