What does the WORD to PSD converter do?

Will my PSD have a transparent background?

WORD files have no alpha channel, so the result will have a solid background. To get transparency in PSD, use the Remove Background tool on the PSD output.

Is the WORD to PSD conversion reversible?

You can convert the PSD back to WORD on this site. If either format involved is lossy, the round-trip is not bit-perfect even though it is visually or audibly close.

What output quality should I expect from WORD to PSD?

Default settings target broadcast / web quality — visually identical to the source for most viewers. For archival use, pick the highest quality option in the converter settings.

Does the PSD output support transparency?

The format does, but the source has no alpha to give it — video frames and rendered pages are fully opaque by nature, so every pixel arrives solid. The alpha channel is still useful afterwards: it means you can cut a subject out of the PSD later without changing format again. PSD keeps every editing decision reversible, which is why it is the master format for design work that will be revised.

Can I convert only part of the WORD instead of all of it?

No. There is no page setting for WORD files, so every page is rendered as its own PSD and you keep the ones you need. If you only want the first page, convert the WORD to PDF and then use the PDF to PSD converter, whose Pages menu offers First page only.

Do I get one image per page?

Yes. Each page renders as its own PSD file, numbered in page order, so a one-page document gives a single PSD and a longer one gives one image per page.

Is there a file-size limit when converting WORD to PSD?

Free conversions have a size limit per file, set by the type of file, and the page tells you when a file is over it. A paid plan removes that limit, so much larger files can be converted.

Can I batch-convert several WORD files to PSD at once?

PSD opens in mainstream image viewers and editors. For web embedding, consider converting to PNG or WebP first since PSD is not always natively supported in browsers.
